About

MadeLab is a creative studio founded by Steve Rowland, collaborating with like-minded people wherever we find them or they find us. We publish books and websites, design stuff, manage projects, run workshops and promote events.

Art Direction and Graphic Design is at the core of the studio. We have overseen design and branding in print and digital media for blue chip companies including Nokia, McAfee, EMI and Sony. We also work with charities, not for profit organisations, local authorities and Universities. Our design work has been featured in graphic design books and magazines including Sampler, Helvetica, Creative Review and Design Week.

We publish books, catalogues and reports in multi platform formats in print and online, including our own titles, on behalf of our partners and clients. MadeLab offers consultancy work, managing collaborative projects from planning, doing, running workshops and launch events.

Our eclectic program of live events range from book readings, exhibitions, film screenings to live bands, often in interesting spaces and venues. We are currently planning a touring exhibition using empty shops and spare places.

We also produce hand crafted limited edition posters and prints for sale in our online shop using letterpress and screenprinting techniques. Some of the products are available as limited edition Giclée prints.
